Day 15: Let your heart guide you

My thoughts today branched off yesterdays post but id like to refrain from harping on a previous thought. My overall consensus today was that I feel much more at ease with myself and where im going. I let my visions and dreams be my rod and staff to comfort me. Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

However I feel like many people’s dreams are thwarted because of the way we operate in the new technological world. So this post is devoted to those many. I really don’t intend to sound like I have it all together but it’s for those who feel as lost as I did. For the first time in my life I feel very at ease with myself and my intentions for the future. I for many years meandered and pushed through feelings of uneasiness. The first day I walked onto my college campus I felt a gut feeling saying “You’re not supposed to be here”. I think this branches off into the theory of intuition. If you think about it, intuition was there before humans could ask google “Top 10 highest paying majors” or taking a personality test to designate career in hopes of it being your passion. However what brought us to this beautiful place in the space time continuum is our intuition I believe. I feel now days we act too much from our brain. Too fucking neurotic about everything. “I don’t know how to do X, I don’t have a history for doing X well, I am unsure if I will do X right, what if others see me doing X poorly.” We wouldn’t be where we are if people thought like that. I think more so than ever we need people to be operating from the heart. To have courage, as courage is a french word meaning “of the heart”. You have to have faith and operate out of a place of knowing yourself, listening to your deepest desires. Im asking you to have a checkup on how your heart/mind duality is functioning. I think we all know some people who live too neurotically. The measure out every single movement before they take it in attempts to predict the outcome. News flash, we live in an isolated system where entropy exists, nothing is predictable. I’m asking everyone to break your neurotic holding patterns and operate out of the heart. That could end up making the world a more beautiful place.

“Imagine if you will being on your death bed – And standing around your bed – the ghosts of the ideas, the dreams, the abilities, the talents given to you by life. And that you for whatever reason, you never acted on those ideas, you never pursued that dream, you never used those talents, we never saw your leadership, you never used your voice, you never wrote that book. And there they are standing around your bed looking at you with large angry eyes saying we came to you, and only you could have given us life! Now we must die with you forever. The question is – if you die today what ideas, what dreams, what abilities, what talents, what gifts, would die with you?”- Les Brown
